VIRTUAL BOOKKEEPER
Balanced Books - Peaceful Mind - Books By Rachel

I created Books by Rachel to help nonprofit leaders establish thriving organizations by providing them with confidential, secure, online bookkeeping services along with timely insight and advice.

My clients are compassionate and intelligent professionals who have pursued their vision, established an organization to serve others, gained donors, and have a plate full of work. These visionaries understand the value and importance of outsourcing tasks to maximize their own talents.

Nonprofit leaders need true and timely information about their profitability (yes, profitability!) and overall financial health to make wise decisions about purchases, hiring, services to offer, and more. They need a bookkeeping partner they can trust and who understands their goals.

Bookkeeping can feel frustrating and distracting from the mission to help people. I am an honest, caring, straight-forward person who shares that vision and can collaborate with nonprofits to transform their financial information into useful tools for building a successful, profitable, and enjoyable organization. My passion is my clients’ peace of mind.

When I m not working, I enjoy .
As both a caregiver and a parent, making time for fun and relaxation is both challenging and critically important. We enjoy simple and inexpensive joys, such as long walks and a cup of coffee/tea with a good book. If these can take place in the mountains, even better! My husband enjoys science fiction, while I usually am reading about health, philosophy, and theology. Our social life mostly revolves around church. Our daughters are 21, 25, and 30 now, so require much less direct care. We get called on for emergency advice and sometimes more practical assistance, but nothing like the younger years! I also manage to squeeze in some crochet from time to time!
