'm Shaw, owner of Symmetric Electric, an electrical contracting company serving residential and commercial clients in New York's Capital Region. After 17 years of traveling and working on large-scale projects nationwide, I've established roots in upstate New York to provide localized electrical services while leveraging my extensive experience across diverse industries and project types. I am an experienced electrical contractor with expertise in large-scale commercial and industrial construction. Having started my career through the Denver Joint Electrical Apprenticeship Training Program in 2008, I have since built a diverse portfolio spanning major projects across the United States. My work has taken me to Colorado, California, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Michigan, New York, Kansas, and Missouri. Along the way I have been honing my skills and been able to adapt to new environments and situations. Core Strengths: Project adaptability, large-scale construction experience, client relationship management, and comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems across multiple sectors. Major Projects: Salesforce Tower, Stanford Hospital, Genentech, Apple (Mother/Spaceship) project, Google Data Center, Intel facilities, Boeing, Ford Plant, Denver Museum of Art, Cree microchip plant, Solar Field, and Buckley Air Force Base Industry Specialization: Commercial, industrial, data centers, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, and renewable energy projects. |

| My education, training and business experience
I am trained through the electrical worker's union known as the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). I attended and successfully completed the Denver Joint Electrical Apprenticeship Training Committee from 2008-2013, at which point I passed the Colorado state test for Journeyman Wireman. I also held licenses in California, Washington, Oregon, Montana, and Minnesota. I now have 17 years of industry experience to draw from. |

| When I m not working, I enjoy . #1: Travel. It never gets old. I have so much left to see. #2: Outdoor rec. I spend a lot of time outdoors, in the mountains. #3 Food. George Bernard Shaw (my namesake) once said, "There is no sincerer love than the love of food." I tend to agree. #4 Live Music. I am from New Orleans. I think that says it all. #5 Fellowship. I like meeting people. It started at a young age. I grew up in a culture that was warm and friendly and it continued throughout my travels across the US. I have met people from all over the globe right here in this great country. My time traveling for work in the Union has only reinforced my belief in camaraderie, fellowship, and charity. I have met great people from all over the map. |
