About Gary Reyes, CPA
Founder | Strategist | Small Business Advocate

Gary Reyes is a licensed CPA (CA License #137153) with over 20 years of experience in the accounting and tax industry, including more than a decade in public accounting. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from San José State University and a Master’s in Financial and Tax Planning from San Diego State University.

In addition to serving clients, Gary is a seasoned small business owner, investor, and partner in several retail and service-based businesses. His hands-on experience gives him unique insight into the challenges entrepreneurs face—and how to solve them with smart financial strategy and tax planning.

For six years, he served as an in-house CFO and CPA for multiple cannabis companies. Most notably, he helped lead a client through California’s legalization transition, scaling operations from a single-location dispensary with 15 employees and $500K in sales to a multi-location business with over 120 employees and $30M in revenue.

Outside the Office
When he’s not helping clients navigate taxes or grow their businesses, Gary enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two sons, who keep him happily busy with school events, soccer matches, and math and science competitions. A passionate traveler, he loves exploring new places across the U.S. and abroad, often combining family adventures with opportunities to unwind and recharge.

He’s also an avid reader with a particular interest in non-fiction, finance, and personal development. On weekends, you’ll often find him at a concert, out camping, or enjoying time with extended family and friends around a campfire or dinner table.
