Business and Company Details:
Accessible Designs for Life (ADL) residential interior design firm has the expertise to curate homes based on the unique needs of the individuals who live and visit the home into adaptable, safe, healthy and affordable living environments regardless of age or ability. Accessible Designs for Life launched in 2022 to provide cost-effective and stylish solutions that marry the tenets of universal design, accessible design, and ergonomics, resulting in visitable spaces that are inclusive to individuals across multiple generations and the wide spectrum of abilities. At our core beliefs, a homeowner should never have to adapt to their own home, the home should adapt to them especially while incorporating medical equipment for mobility, hearing and vision disability assistive devices. |

My education, training and business experience
Teri holds a degree in interior design from West Valley College in Saratoga, California, as well as the Living in Place Institute’s Certified Living in Place Professional™ (CLIPP) credential, a niche designation for professionals specializing in home modifications for accessibility, safety, and comfort. She is intimately acquainted with the challenges family members have faced due to vision and hearing impairments and the extreme mobility limitations brought on by progressive diseases such as diabetes, cancer, multiple sclerosis, deafness and macular degeneration. Teri is passionate about designing solutions that accommodate such needs. Teri’s design journey spans more than 20 years and numerous disciplines, including print, graphic, web, and interior design. After cutting her teeth at MAC Design, a California-based kitchen and bath design firm, she founded Accessible Designs for Life in 2022. |
