When helping clients select an insurance plan, I treat the client and the company with equal respect and consideration. I place client needs and company rules above my own interests in just trying to "sell a policy". On numerous occasions, I have helped clients select carriers other than my own if that is in their best interest. I can offer a variety of carriers for property and casualty, medicare products, life and health insurance. |

| My education, training and business experience
I have a Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. I spent 6 years with Westin Hotels and 6 years in management/ownership of a Tulsa restaurant. I entered the insurance business in 1991 as a Farmers Insurance Group agent. I sold that book of business the last day of 1999 and purchased an independent agency which I currently operate as Melton Insurance in Claremore, OK. Being an independent agent allows me to serve clients in many more situations. |

| When I m not working, I enjoy . Watching or attending OSU sporting events. Given my restaurant background, I enjoy trying out new restaurants or cooking when I have the opportunity. |

| Some of the Clubs, Associations and Volunteer activities that I participate in are
I chair the Rogers County OSU Alumni Association as the local coordinator and try to help locals get together for networking and watch parties. I have served as coordinator as needed since 2009 (and before) for Business Builders Referral Group which is a networking group that meets weekly to promote business for each other. |
